Coffee at Le Café Alain Ducasse
Le Café is unlikely to become your new pre-work coffee stop – which is exactly why we recommend it. Drinking a coffee here is an experience to be savoured rather than rushed. At Philip Kingsley, we have long admired the way Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse singles out workaday ingredients that he can exalt to the next level. He did this with chocolate at Le Chocolat – and now at Le Café he is doing it with coffee.
So, pick a day when you can set aside some time to relax and indulge your senses. Perch at the gleaming, high-tech coffee bar. Now you can appreciate the care that has gone into everything around you: the passion of the coffee experts, the beautiful bespoke glassware, the gleaming, spotlit space. And of course the perfectly roasted coffee, sourced from all around the globe, producing notes and flavours you might never have experienced before.
Le Café’s priciest coffee is a £15 cup of Yemeni origin, and the place has been attracting a lot of attention – both negative and positive – for this. Whether you can afford to try it, or prefer to stick to the more wallet-friendly end of the menu, we say: treating yourself at Le Café is a bit like booking yourself in for one of our signature Hair Spa Treatments. It’s perfect for slowing down, taking a moment for yourself, de-stressing and trying something different.
